Election of Club Secretary
No nominations or volunteers for club secretary office; position remains open and will remain on meeting agenda.
Friday night tournament plan was presented by Kevin Wilder and approved as proposed by the members present.

May 26th - Stump Bay on the St. Joe River
June 9th - Klinger Lake
June 23rd - Palmer Lake
July 7th - Barton Lake
July 21st - Big Fish
August 4th - Maple Lake or Van Aukin (availability of permit)
August 18th - Saddle Lake
September 1st - Templane
September 15th - 2007 Classic on Paw Paw Lake
Updated Tournament Rules for 2007
Changed minimum distance from competing boats from 50 yards to 100 feet
Clarified rule on "late to weigh-in": Participants will be disqualified from the tournament if they are late to weigh-in; boat must be within 50 yards of designated weigh-in boat ramp and down off plane.
Changed to give Tournament Director the authority to restrict boat speeds in the interest of boating safety.
Change to tournament fees: Non-member boat (no member aboard) tournament fee is now $40; a boat with a member and a non-member will pay the $25 member tournament fee.
Ernie Fitzgerald proposed a lake in southern Indiana for a spring road trip in late April or early May; Ernie will bring more information to the March meeting.
Reviewed and amended club bylaws
Article II section 1 - dropping the line "A ratio of at least three boaters to two non-boaters must be maintained."
Article II section 2 - dropping lines a and b: "a. Apply to join at a regular meeting. b. Be accepted by the members present at the meeting through a vote. Affirmation must be by the majority vote."
Article III section 1c - dropping the lines "Maintain waiting list. Provide the members with a monthly newsletter/minutes."
Article III section 1 - dropping section 1d "d. ASSISTANT SECRETARY/ STATISTICIAN: Assist secretary in maintaining records and in distributing monthly minutes/newsletter. In the Secretary's absence, carry out his duties."
Article V section 1 - dropping lines c and d "c. Failure to attend 50% of the club's non-tournament meetings. This will be based on attendance from December through November. d. Failure to fish 50% of the tournaments annually."
Article VIII section 1 - dropping line c "c. Most Improved Fisherman. This is based on an improvement in overall rank from one year to the next using the final rank and is calculated by determining the relative rank of the fishermen for the current year and comparing it with the relative rank of the same group who fished the previous year. Each fisherman must participate two consecutive years to be eligible. Former Angler of the Year and Most Improved are not eligible." Sections a and b will be applied to boater team.
Article X section 1 - Changing from "The committee's selections are final." to "The final approval is done by membership vote at a designated club meeting."
Article X section 2 - dropping section 2f "f. A lake may not be fished two years in a row in a regular tournament; alternate lakes are the exception."
